'The X-Files' Spoilers: 'Brutal' Episode 2 To Feature A 'Creepy' Monster-Of-The-Week Character

The episode 2 of the upcoming “The-XFiles" revival might be a little uncomfortable to watch.

TVLines Michael Ausiello reported that the second hour of the six-episode miniseries could easily become one of the most violent episodes in the entire run of the sci-fi series.

Written and directed by Glen Morgan, the episode, entitled "Home Again," "will pick up several months after the events of the premiere, and word on the streets of Vancouver is that the installment is absolutely brutal," Ausiello wrote, adding that some people who have knowledge with the production are already calling it as one of the most violent "The X-Files" episodes in history.

Ausiello didn't specify what makes the episode violent, but in a report he published last June on TVLine, he revealed that the episode will feature a monster-of-the-week character dubbed as the Band-Aid Nose Man.

While the name doesn't sound particularly menacing, fans should be warned that the creature is described as  "intimidating, odd, weary, creepy and immeasurably strong" as it is a "powerful, violent and frightening 'thought' come to life."

"The X-Files" miniseries stars returning cast members David Duchovny (Fox Mulder), Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully), Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), William B. Davis (Smoking Man), Dean Haglund (Richard Langly), Tom Braidwood (Melvin Frohike), Bruce Harwood (John Fitzgerald Byers) Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes) and Sheila Larken (Margaret Scully).

The revival also features newcomers Joel McHale (Tad O'Malley), Annet Mahendru (Sveta), Robbie Amell (Agent Miller), Lauren Ambrose (Agent Einstein) and Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani.

The miniseries premieres on Sunday, Jan. 24, right after the NFL's NFC championship game. It then moves to Monday nights starting on Jan. 25 and continue over the next four week.
